(Hons) from the University of Warwick, UK and completed his Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham Law School, UK. He is member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Dinay Reetoo was called to the Bar in the United Kingdom in 2002 and was admitted to the Mauritian Bar on 11 November 2003. Dinay Reetoo has a keen interest in international law and holds a Graduate Certificate in Maritime Studies (Law of the Sea) from the University of Wollongong, Australia.<\/p><p>Dinay Reetoo\u2019s career in the public sector began with his appointment as Temporary State Counsel in April 2004, the Attorney-General\u2019s Office. He has served successively as State Counsel, Senior State Counsel, Acting Principal State Counsel, Principal State Counsel and Acting Assistant Parliamentary Counsel prior to his substantive appointment as Assistant Parliamentary Counsel in May 2021.<\/p><p>Dinay Reetoo also provides legal advice to Ministries, Government departments and to various statutory bodies. He is the current co-chair of the Piracy Legal Forum of the Contact Group on Piracy off the Coast of Somalia.
