Ammanah Saya Ragavoodoo holds a Degree of Bachelor of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom since 1996 and an LLM in International Business Law from Paris Pantheon Assas University.

Having successfully completed the Vocational Examinations held by the Council of Legal Education in 1997, she was admitted as an Attorney in December 1998 and became a Member of the Mauritius Law Society. She has been in private practice for the last twenty-four years.

Since May 2017, she was appointed a Board Director of Air Mauritius Ltd. In March 2018, she was appointed Board Member of the Financial Intelligence Unit and reappointed on 28 March 2022. In November 2018, she was appointed a member of Electoral Supervisory Commission and Electoral Boundary Commission
