A virtual workshop on “Dissemination of Risk Assessment relating to the Virtual Asset Space” was organised by the Interagency Coordination Committee (ICC) on Thursday 16 June 2022 from 10:00 hrs. to 12:00 hrs. The primary aim of this workshop was to apprise reporting persons of the risks associated with the development of Virtual assets in Mauritius. Resource persons from the Bank of Mauritius and the Financial Services Commissions enlightened participants on:
- Recent developments in the virtual asset space
- FATF Guidance on VA & VASPs
- The AML/CFT National Risk Assessment of VA & VASPs
- The Virtual Asset and Initial Token Offering Services Act 2021; and AML/CFT Obligations
