The Interagency Coordination Committee (ICC) organised a virtual workshop on ‘Targeted Financial Sanctions’ on Thursday 26 May 2022 from 10:30 hrs. to 12.00 hrs. The overarching goal of the workshop was to apprise reporting persons of the rationale for Targeted Financial Sanctions. Resource persons from the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Attorney General’s Office presented on:
- FATF Recommendation 6 & 7
- The United Nations (Financial Prohibitions, Arms Embargo and Travel Ban) Sanctions Act 2019
- Obligations of Reporting Persons
- Suspicious Transaction Reporting
