The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), headed by its Acting Director, Mr. Kiran Bhoyroo held a collaborative meeting with representatives of Mauritius Finance on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and engagement between the two institutions.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, discuss areas for enhanced collaboration, and promote greater coordination in support of Mauritius’ financial integrity and regulatory objectives.
The discussions provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue, clarification and a better understanding of the respective perspectives of both institutions.
The meeting was conducted in a spirit of openness and cooperation, reflecting the importance of continued engagement between the FIU and Mauritius Finance. Both sides reaffirmed the value of maintaining regular dialogue and working collaboratively to address matters of common interest.
The FIU appreciates the engagement and constructive participation of Mauritius Finance and looks forward to continued collaboration in further strengthening Mauritius’ framework for combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing (ML/TF/PF).
